Diana Wescott joins iBuyFlowers!

iBuyFlowers is excited to announce the newest addition to our growing sales team.  Diana Westcott of Kingsland, GA will be working with iBuyFlowers clients in Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina.

Diana is a floral industry veteran with experience in the retail, wholesale, special events, and mass-market segments.  Here is what she told us:

“My first day in the flower business was at a small-town florist in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine.  We created a sewn casket blanket of red carnations.  Every stem was in a water tube, and we sewed them with waxed thread onto a base of leatherleaf on burlap.  Even then, that was an old-fashioned technique. But the customer requested the look and we figured out how to make it happen.”

“I probably learned more about floral design as a wholesale sales rep in Washington, D.C. than I did running my own flower shop for 10 years.  I had the opportunity to work in the coolers with super-talented designers as they chose their color pallets and texture combinations.  We had 15 minutes every morning on the phone at 6:00 AM to tell the White House florist everything that was in our coolers while she was in line at the bagel shop. The POTUS loved Marjan roses and monstera leaves!”

“Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to visit flower farms in Colombia, Ecuador, The Netherlands, California and on the East Coast. These growers constantly strive to improve and are always so open to feedback.  They love to know more about the retailers that use their products.  Many of these farms are suppliers for iBuyFlowers! I am so happy to be representing some of my old friends.”

“It’s so exciting to see our industry evolve with the development of the iBuyFlowers “farm-to-florist” e-commerce business.  I’m super-impressed with the flexible 24/7 online ordering, the speed of our logistics, and the transparent “to-your-door” pricing. It’s absolutely my privilege to share iBuyFlowers with both legacy shops and this new generation of florists.”

Welcome to the team Diana!
