About iBuyFlowers
Founded in 2016 by Wilfred de Wit — a Dutch lily grower's son with deep roots in the floral industry — iBuyFlowers is a fast-growing online marketplace revolutionizing how flower professionals source their blooms.
We empower U.S. customers to order the freshest, highest-quality flowers directly from over 100 global farms, 24/7 through our platform. By eliminating the middleman, we guarantee farm-fresh quality, competitive pricing, and reliable service.
As a scale-up, iBuyFlowers operates globally with clients across the U.S., a dedicated IT team in Colombia, and an e-commerce team in the Netherlands.
The Opportunity
Win new customers and help shape how our Business Development team operates. You will independently manage your acquisition pipeline, converting inbound guest accounts into first-time buyers and winning new customers through targeted outbound prospecting.
This is a high-volume outbound calling role. The expectation is an average of 300+ logged activities per week (calls and follow-ups) in HubSpot. Most of every day is spent on the phone, building your outbound pipeline through cold calling and a book of pre-qualified cold leads.
Alongside delivering personal sales results, you will refine the playbook, document what works and prepare practical training materials for future team members. This role suits an experienced sales professional ready to take broader ownership and grow toward team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Own your acquisition pipeline, converting inbound guest accounts and winning new customers through cold calling and pre-qualified cold leads.
- Qualify and prioritize retail, wedding and event florists by buying needs, timing and commercial potential.
- Remove purchase barriers and coordinate clear handoffs to onboarding and Account Management.
- Maintain accurate HubSpot records, clear next actions and reliable pipeline updates.
- Improve qualification, outreach and objection handling, and prepare practical training materials for new BDAs.
- Sustain high outreach volume: average 300+ logged activities per week (calls and follow-ups) in HubSpot.
- Own higher-value opportunities from first conversation through to consistent buying.
- Refine and improve the existing BDA playbook based on what works in practice.
- Spot patterns in what converts and which segments have the most potential, and report back to your manager.
Success Measures
- New customers acquired versus target.
- Revenue from acquired accounts within the agreed measurement period.
- Guest-to-first-order conversion and outbound acquisition results.
- Pipeline progression and forecast input quality.
- Outreach consistency, CRM accuracy and handoff quality.
- Useful playbook improvements and readiness to train a new colleague.
- Weekly activity volume against the 300+ target.
What You Bring
- Minimum 3+ years of relevant B2B sales experience.
- Floral industry experience required.
- Demonstrated ability to manage opportunities independently and convert prospects into customers.
- Confidence with both inbound follow-up and outbound prospecting.
- Strong commercial judgment, organization and CRM discipline.
- Ability to translate personal experience into clear, repeatable processes.
- Interest in coaching colleagues and developing leadership skills.
- High energy and proven comfort with high-volume outbound calling.
Compensation and Benefits
- The annual base salary for this role ranges from $65,000 to $75,000, plus a performance-based bonus structure to be determined.
- Paid time off and holidays.
- Remote working flexibility.
- Laptop and work-from-home setup stipend.
Development Opportunities
Grow toward Business Development Team Lead by delivering consistent acquisition results and demonstrating coaching readiness, subject to approved team expansion. This role has no formal people management responsibilities.
As a new role at iBuyFlowers, its scope will evolve with the business. Your ideas and practical experience will help shape its processes, priorities and future direction.
